Hey PMs,
This week on The PM Signal, we’re switching gears – from dashboards to PDU strategies. If you’re heading toward PMP renewal and dreading the hunt for 60 PDUs, you’re not alone. I recently completed my renewal and explored multiple paths. Here’s what I found – and what I recommend.
1. Free Webinars on ProjectManagement.com
- Cost: “Free,” but PMI membership is about $150/year
- Quality: Hit or miss. Some insightful, others filler
- Time Investment: High – you must watch them all yourself
- Usability: Easy to navigate, but finding good content takes effort
✅ Cost-effective
❌ Time-consuming, inconsistent quality
2. PDUNow
- Cost: Over $150
- Quality: Better than free options, but not always consistent
- Time Investment: Moderate
- Usability: Simple interface, but not great value
✅ Structured
❌ Pricey for uneven content
3. Gururo
- Cost: ~$140
- Quality: Decent, but some content feels basic
- Time Investment: Moderate
- Usability: User-friendly and well-organized
✅ Cheaper than PDUNow, good UI
❌ Lacks depth in places
4. PDU60.com
- Cost: Less than $120
- Quality: High. Tailored to your job and industry
- Time Investment: Very low. The AI does the heavy lifting
- Usability: Extremely easy – comes as a single downloadable PDF
- Subscriptions: 2 PDUs/month for $12 or 5 PDUs/month for $25
✅ Affordable
✅ Saves 50+ hours
✅ Personalized and easy
❌ AI-led method might not appeal to traditional learners
My Recommendation
If you enjoy deep-diving into webinars and don’t mind the time investment, ProjectManagement.com or Gururo could work well.
But if you’re short on time and want a smarter, faster route, PDU60.com is the best way how to renew your pmp and earn 60 pdu’s. The AI handles the watching, reading, and listening – so you don’t have to.
Stay certified,
Nathan
